On June 20th CEED Kosovo organized a formal Business Conference event, titled “Human Capital for the 21st Century Businesses” which aimed to increase awareness about the importance of investing in human capital.  The conference included a session which matched  business leaders with HR service providers to help address specific HR issues and challenges. The business conference hosted international celebrity business speakers and local entrepreneurs and experts that shared the benefits of investing in HR within the organizations.  Over 200 entrepreneurs and business leaders attended the event.  The conference was a part of a larger private sector development initiative which focused on job creation for young men and women in select sectors (the EYE program).

 

Keynote Speakers for the event included:

 

Miha Pogacnik – classical concert violinist and leadership consultant that taps the unexplored potential of art as a significant force for productivity, creativity and organizational renewal. He is a Celebrity Speaker, Leadership Resonance Expert, Violinist, Visionary, Inventor and Slovenian Cultural Ambassador. Miha is CIO – Chief Inspiration Officer of the Institute for Development of Intercultural Relations through the Arts (IDRIART) and Managing Director of Ecoculture. In this role he has held over 200 festivals in crisis areas around the globe. His last social creation is Terra Parzival, European Regional Development Model. Tim Ringo – Global Leader & Human Capital Management Expert. Ringo is a Partner in Maxxim Consulting. His main focus is helping clients develop engaged, high performing workforces aligned to corporate centre strategy and business objectives. Previously he was Vice President and Global Leader of IBM’s Human Capital Management consulting practice, based in London. He led a team of more than 1500 Human Capital consulting professionals around the world.
