In April of this year, CEED Kosovo began to work on strengthening the climate change agenda in Kosovo in partnership with the UNDP. The project focused on the effective implementation of cross-sectoral, gender -responsive, climate change policies; and aimed to increase the number of people who adopt behaviors that enhance resilience to climate change. The objective of this project is to raise awareness about the issues of climate change, and promote better understanding of how a changing climate will affect the communities, economy, agriculture, and lifestyle of the general public. CEED worked with various community members to showcase measures that can be adopted to reduce climate vulnerability and increase resilience, through demonstration projects on forestry protection and water conservation. This project is financed by “Austrian Development Cooperation”, supported by “UNDP”, and implemented by “CEED Kosova”.
