The Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED) was officially launched in Tanzania on Friday, 5 May 2017 in Dar es Salaam. The launch of CEED in Tanzania was an exciting opportunity for CEED not only in Tanzania but also for sub-Saharan Africa. CEED plans to start to build its presence within sub-Saharan Africa from the investment in Tanzania.
CEED’s launch event brought together more than 50 potential members, partners, stakeholders, service providers and potential investors to the event. The launch event was officiated by the key note speaker, Assistance Director of Enterprise Promotion in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Boniface Michael. In his brief statements, Mr. Boniface Michael acknowledged the important role that CEED will play in supporting the government meet its industrialization agenda to achieve a semi-industrialized status by 2025.
CEED’s Global Director, Mr. Peter Righi, was also in attendance at the event along with Mr. Jovan Madjovski, Regional Manager, CEED Macedonia, Albania, Moldova, Serbia, Bosnia, Herzegovina. The event was followed by a networking event where the attendees had the opportunity to learn more about CEED activities in Tanzania and globally. Mr. Mihayo Wilmore, a successful entrepreneur and Principal Partner at Mr. Mihayo Wilmore said “the program comes at the right time when the country sings a song of industrial economy and now small and medium entrepreneurs now have the opportunity and platform to grow and scale their businesses to the next level through CEED.
