CEED Bulgaria organized this summer a series of business and CSR trainings for over 200 small and medium-sized businesses, culminating with a CSR Demo day in which 20 teams presented their projects to experts, investors and business representatives from Switzerland and Bulgaria. The CSR Demo Day, is part of a project implemented by CEED Bulgaria with the financial support of the Swiss Confederation through the Partnership and Expert Assistance Fund. The jury selected the five teams below, and awarded each a business trip to Switzerland for an exchange of experience with Swiss based entities.
Winetours.bg
Winetours.bg is the first online guidebook for wine tourism in Bulgaria, bringing together all the winery sites open to visitors. The initiative was started by Gergana Todorova with the purpose of provoking interest in Bulgarian wine, its wine regions and increasing trips to wineries in Bulgaria.
Diva Care
Neven Boyanov impressed the jury with his Diva Care project. It aims to help cancer patients who might have complications after breast cancer surgery such as lymphoma, and do not have access to professional services. DivaCare is a cloud-based, mediation system that connects the patient and physicians in real time.
Darvenitsa
The Darvenitsa project is managed by Stanislav Ivanov and Martina Ivanova. The business produces wooden products for children – playgrounds, games, swings. Their products can change their design and complexity over the years as kids who use them grow. The products can be restored into original form and reused.
Via Pontica
Ina Aganfonova presented her project Via Pontica. It uniquely combines cultivation of different fish species in an aquatic farm in Bourgas with niche ecological tourism (bird watching). The project started in 2015 and has first validation with the successful sales of its first batch of fish after a 1.5 year growth cycle.
Volontime
Gabriella Presolska is the founder of Volontime – a platform for volunteering, donating and managing CSR activity. The social network provides a platform for causes, volunteering opportunities for public and private initiatives, donating to individuals in need as well as institutions and development/promotion of corporate social responsibility programs.
