This year CEED “Hub Skopje” successfully implemented its first Acceleration program for startups in Macedonia and Pre-Acceleration program for women entrepreneurs. Following several months of work, many startups have made great progress in developing their ideas and businesses. Two successful examples are provided below – the first a virtual reality service and the second a social enterprise

PRIM3D is a design and production studio that specializes in virtual reality solutions and applications for business. They have developed an interactive VR service for the real-estate industry that supports the sales process by showing customers buildings/apartments prior to construction. Their tool allows customers to be more than just observers – it enables them to experience their future home and make changes to features such as wall and floor color/materials. PRIM3D’s team of 10 have been working hard to bring the service to the global market.  Recently, they were invited to pitch their product to a holding company in Saudi Arabia for an upcoming tender.

CEED Hub Skopje’s Acceleration Program also supports social impact, and “ONE Made” is a good example. ‘One Made’ produces organic cosmetics, engaging single mothers in the production and sales processes. Besides providing employment benefits, their cosmetics are use all-natural and mercury free. In August 2017, they opened the “One Can/One Made Concept Center,” an interdisciplinary and conceptual center that aims to integrate handmade products of “ONE Can” members and “ONE Made” designers to build a recognizable brand and further distribute the line in the market.

CEED Hub Skopje continues to innovate within the Macedonian entrepreneurial landscape. Last month the second acceleration and pre-acceleration programs were expanded for designers as well as for entrepreneurs outside of Skopje, and they will help more than 30 individuals develop and grow their businesses.
