Over 180 young entrepreneurs from all over Tunisia celebrated their graduation from the CEED Program on September 13, 2019.
.
The USAID-funded CEED Tunisia program is designed to provide mentorship, networking opportunities, and other invaluable opportunities to Tunisian entrepreneurs.
.
CEED Tunisia’s annual ceremony celebrated graduates from 14 regions in Tunisia (Gabes, Gafsa, Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid, Tozeur, Kebili, Tataouine, Medenine, Beja, Jandouba, Le Kef, Siliana, Kairouan and Zaghouan) and over 250 guests including Ambassadors of the U.S., China, the EU and the Tunisian Minister of Finance.
.
“Having demonstrated, on several occasions, its strong added value from its partners and its sponsors, CEED Tunisia knew how to surround itself with the best to accompany the course of the “CEEDers” and to allow their companies to develop in emerging markets” said Tunisian community web platform, Tuniscope, about the event.
.
In addition to regional diversity, 46% of the entrepreneurs who graduated are women. “I want to sincerely thank CEED for helping me develop my leadership personality and broaden my management and teamwork skills,” said one entrepreneur from the Gabès region. This entrepreneur reported that in 2018 her business’ revenues increased by more than 10% compared to 2017 and that she hired an additional full-time employee as a result.
.
Following the ceremony, the graduates had the opportunity to share their work and ideas with the attendees. The next “class” of CEED Grow entrepreneurs began on September 30.
